Fowlmere in Cambridgeshire is a picturesque village in the south of the county where one of the prized features is the eponymous nature reserve. The much-loved wildlife oasis is characterised by reed beds and chalk grassland, beloved by birdlife and recognised as one of the UK’s rarest habitats. It’s against this backdrop that we worked with the developers to create home environments that nurture a holistic but contemporary type of luxury living.

Standing out from the crowd
Each of the properties has large windows and a barn-style aesthetic, forged of warm wooded features. However, this signature feature has been applied in its own unique way to the different homes and as a result no two properties are the same, creating a sense of luxury that we emulated when it came to designing the culinary spaces as well.
Minimalism and personalisation
Each home has a natural warmth to it, courtesy of the organic materials used and the way the natural light floods in. Our designers sought to maintain the homeliness that the architectural design had created, whilst also providing a truly luxurious and life enhancing experience in the kitchens. Our focus was on minimalism that met with expectation exceeding function and details that mirrored the individuality of each property.
Best of all worlds
Each home is a fusion of modern engineering and technology alongside rich organic materials that lend depth, warmth and character. Warm woods, stone floors, exposed brick and the intentional use of natural light all served as inspiration for the path our designers chose when creating plans for the kitchens.
In each property we chose to work with the SieMatic range, incorporating handleless cabinetry, to tailor kitchens to the individual spaces. The choice of ovens, hobs and other appliances remained the same, however, we incorporated different finishes to the homes in order to enhance their character and style. For example, one featured a white quartz countertop paired with high gloss neutral cabinetry for an ultra soothing atmosphere, quietly reflecting the garden views from a double height gabled window.
